Corporate Office - Lake Oswego

Software Developer

I'm sitting here thinking about how best to articulate a job posting to a perspective candidate. I want it to be exciting and interesting! I want it to convey a sense of a "casual, but motivated environment." Most importantly, I want it to attract an individual who greatly values the individuality and expertise of his or her peers and is willing to go the extra mile whenever necessary................ Well, did it work?

If you're looking for a job, a gig, a place to call home, and you are a highly capable Software Developer, than look no further!!! At CSNW you'll enjoy Wednesday outings to the Zoo, Thursday visits from "Wally the Walrus" and Friday trips to Mars. Well not really, but it's a nice thought? Maybe?

We're looking for an experienced SOFTWARE DEVELOPER who knows JAVA like the back of his or her hand (I'm hoping you know what the back of your hand looks like). You need to have an understanding of what it means to write functional and scalable code quickly and effectively. You have to embrace your "Users" as your "Customers" and understand the best tools you can create are tools that make your "Customers" love you.

Right off the bat you'll be seated in a unique roll. You'll be working on the development and Integration of a new design/prototype for our primary eCommerce website (monthly revenue between 2 and 6 million). Aside from assisting in the development of all of the cool widgets and tools that make our customers' lives easier and their shopping experience more fruitful, the site will closely integrate with our in-house ERP system.

In this role you'll be working closely with all primary stakeholders, which will include our Executive team, our Marketing team, and our IT/Development team. You'll officially be working in our IT Department, but we have a unique shop here and work hard to make IT more than a "black box".

The following are requirements for the position:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Extensive experience with AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, PHP, and JAVA
  • Experience with Relational Databases and SQL
  • Experience with Multi-Tiered web applications
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Experience with front-end and UI design

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with ERP software (Sales/Purchasing/Inventory/Fulfillment/Accounting/Service)
  • Experience with other languages, like C, C++, Objective C
  • CentOS and BASH
